A family in St Albans is seeking a special needs nanny.
Days: 3 days | Hours: av. 24hrs | Ages: G13 | Salary: £17ph
A family in St Albans is seeking a special nanny to join their family on a long term basis
Their daughter of 13 years has autism and is developmentally delayed. She attends an SEN school full time
They need 3 days per week, Friday is a must, ideally Mon+Tues as the other days (but can accept any 2 consecutive)
Term time the hours are 7.30-9am (although finish by 8.45am in reality) and 2.30-7.30/8pm Friday, with the other days 3.30-7.30/8pm
They offer an additional 3 hours per week to do childcare related work and errands if wanted
In school holidays you would work 3 full days per week (same days) - this gives an average of up to 24 hours per week (with 8pm finish and the 3 hours additional chores)
They offer £17gph
This is a long term position to start ASAP - their previous nanny was with them for 6 years
Ofsted registration is helpful but not essential
A driver is needed - you wont do the school run (she has transport) but will need to drive for activities
She is physically able and verbal (in her own way!) - she needs supervision and some help with self care. Above all she needs someone as fun as she is!
The family will soon be getting a puppy as a therapy dog so you must be OK with dogs!
Child related chores only
Parents work from home for the most part so whilst the role is sole charge, you have support if needed
This role will not suit a NWOC
